How am I supposed to remember it was gone 8pm on a Friday night :emoticon-0102-bigsm

But probably because these threads are always the same genres of songs from the same artist so I thought I'd look for something else.

Actually I used to go to a LOT of Happy Hardcore nights and Raves in the 90s. Mind you I can't remember any of them either as I was off my tits the whole time

I do.
She'd just bought the recently released "The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan" album and invited me round to listen to it one night when her parents were out.
"I love this track" she said.
She put on "Don't think twice, it's alright".
I took the hint :emoticon-0100-smile

I think you quoted the wrong post.

I've no idea but I just had a quick look and he's recorded 17 albums and 39 singles shifting over 6 million units!

No bad for a bloke famous for talking to his car!
I did quote the wrong post, sorry. Who the **** bought him, though. That's really weird.

Mind you, I think was Englebert Humperdinck that kept Penny Lane/Strawberry Fields off the No1 spot. <yikes>

I've never got over the fact that The Who'sMy Generation was kept off the number 1 spot by The Carnival Is Over by The Seekers

Is it true he was once the biggest seller in Germany, or is it that just urban myth?

He was at no 1 for 8 weeks the year the Berlin Wall came down. The song was called Looking For Freedom and people associated the two things (though the song was about another kind of freedom) and people sang it at demonstrations. He was invited to sing it on New Year's Eve the year it was started to be taken down in front of 100,000. I remember watching it on the news at the time.
