Am I missing something here? Banners that appear at other clubs' grounds don't mention who provided or funded the banner, do they? It's all getting a bit ****ing silly now.
Yes. You're missing about 6 months. Can't say I'm surprised you disagree with what the majority on here decided too.
It was after all the first banner and it has not been repeated. Lots of lessons were learnt from both the Bruce and Cobb Morley banners. The fact is that posters on here provided the banners and the original message was a show of support from here for Steve Bruce. The design was voted on by posters and the reason for Not 606 being on it as far as I remember was to stop any other group taking credit, I may be wrong, but that is how I saw it. We have a banner that the club displays on our behalf, I for one think that this is quite a step forward for Hull City and its supporters. Has the club done anything in the ground like this before? Polly, you are right about it getting silly.
I think it would have been better if we hadn't put not606 on it, it was completely unnecessary and was mildly embarrassing. As for voting for it, I had absolutely no idea it we were putting it on there.
I didn't really have a problem with the first banner having not606 on it somewhere, but it seems to have become an issue in itself, and is causing division, seemingly along the lines which already exist between various factions of the name change debate, so I think it would be far better if it was left off. I mean really, when it comes to banners supporting the team displayed on match days, why the **** does it matter who bought them? Get a grip, fellers.
Was there last night handing out flyers for the Hull Folk Fest and I'm off tonight to do the same and also catch Seth Lakeman. I would've been there earlier but the ****ty weather dampened my enthusiasm a bit!
Yep bloody miserable isnt it. The kids have got the Wii out they're that bored. Just battered her at tennis
There's plenty of banners in the ground, nobody else felt the need to advertise who funded them, I just think it was a bit naff.
I am sat in the garden, bottle of Ringwood Forty Niner in hand whilst watching over my smoker bbq with a shoulder of pork cooking in it. Just waiting for the hot tub to get to temperature. Great weekend so far. Bit cloudy, but still warm enough to sit out.
Pretty much. Posters voted overwhelmingly on the desire to make it clear it wasn't associated with any of the on going politics or groups. Unfortunately some others were still determined to try and drag it in, and yes, it got silly, but hardly embarrassing. Lessons learned, but we got far more than could have been reasonably expected given the circumstances.
That's a blast from the past, never knew why but as kids we always were told it was dangerous to have a bath after eating! Actually you are right Kemps, I just googled it and it could indeed make me poorly. I will never have a bacon sarnie whilst sat in the bath again!
Not606 isn't a group. That aside, it was requested by a lot of posters that it was made clear it had nothing to do with CTWD. Posters also asked for it to have nott606 on it. This was voted on and was the opinion of a clear majority, so that's how it was done.
