We've only had 3 transfer windows since the takeover and people EXPECT us to be lifting a cup already.

The fact we were in a final at all is a massive bonus. 14 months ago we were bottom of the league.

All I asked for this season wad a cup run. And got it. No we didn't win, but FFS the world hasn't ended.

So is the point here that we shouldn't be disappointed about losing a final because we haven't earned the right to defeat football royalty like Man Utd yet?

Their squad cost hundreds of millions more and less not forget de gea made two brilliant saves ... one just before they scored .. 1st goal was key.

I personally think they played very well... that side absolutely rinsed Barcelona for 45 minutes but they didn't vs our lads.

This is the beginning we'll get more of these and sooner or later it'll drop for us..

we won there 9 months ago and it is a great feeling winning with 44,000 as well, and the EFL trophy. the gulf in class today was massive and remember Howe has been there a year spending money, this not Bruce etc in charge.

****ing thoroughly fed up. Didn’t turn up and there’s no chance this team gets to another final soon. Howe has got it wrong week after week now. Bad tactics bad performances. It’s cost us 4th place and a final performance. Shocking decisions sticking with Wilson, Burn and a completely ****ing absent game plan.
