This formation looks about as strong as you could expect besides Pope.

It all depends if you prefer the defensive cover of Willock minus the attacking threat or the ASM attacking threat minus the defensive cover, but Joelinton will be there to cover that.

Think it will be Wilson ahead of Isak personally

He has shown some promise, he hasn't played much and shows some decent quality. Good goal at Liverpool. Last minute winner at Fulham. Goal vs Bournemouth.

He's just come back into the side regaining fitness while we're in a bad run of form.

we need at least one player not made of thin air up there imo. Isak has been poor ... Wilson is a far superior cf

Fair point about Wilson, he does win more headers and hold the ball up, but I do think Isak has more skill on the ball and pace. He did create the winning goal vs Southampton away.

His contribution is underrated as **** IMO.

Bring Isak on final 30 mins when the game becoming a bit more stretched and his pace could be useful for counter attacking on that big pitch.

It's probably not going to make much difference anyway like ..

I think newcastle have one very clear advantage and that's being a bigger stronger side.

Then later on bring on isak and sacrifice a defender if needed.. go for it in other words
 
Isak is still only 23 so plenty of time. But he has skills and good finishing ability, he's not had enough of a chance but has still made impact.

There's part of me hoping howe has something different up his sleeve and we play the ****ing lot
