Darlow was never anything other than average championship, and tbh was very lucky to get so many Prem appearances with us.
Noted. The Champs league final actually gives Karius a good opportunity to go under the radar and surprise people, as there's no expectations of him.
He could end up brilliant and Pope will end up as 2nd choice, glass half full kinda guy.
He’s already kept a clean sheet against Manchester United in the past.
The gaping holes in the previously indestructible defence should actually be the priority right now, Botman and Schar had 'mares in the first 20 mins yesterday.
Tripper was the weakest link yesterday. Schar, I’m sorry, is not a long term centre back for the club. He’s average at best and most fans ignore his lack of defensive qualities due to his roaming forwards.

Do we put on a practice match or something midweek to at least get Karius some play time? 2 years ffs.

It's interesting that Schar is learning from Botman rather than the opposite. Schar has maybe another year, but even in this summer, it's worth upgrading.
Tripps has had a few off days recently, but that should be a point of focus between now and the final.
