With all the excitement of the Easter wins I couldn't get my head around what our chances of staying up would be,as has been previously stated,we are still in the mire but our position has seriously improved,after looking around the forums and comparing other peoples imput this is how I think we will end up...

Remaining games are ...

BCFC.. B/ham (A), WHU (H), Barnsley (H), Burnley (A)
Coventry.. Burnley (A), Millwall (H), Donny (H), Soton (A)
N Forest.. Blackpool (H), Reading (A), Hull (A), Pompey (H)
Barnsley.. Cardiff (H), Hull (A), City (A), Brighton (H)

This is how I think the run in will be..

I think Bristol City will Draw, Draw, Win, Lose..Giving us 48 points..
I think Nottingham Forest will Draw, Lose, Draw, Draw.. Giving them 49 points..
I think Coventry will Lose, Draw,Win, Lose.. Giving them 43 points..
I think Barnsley will Draw, Lose, Lose, Draw... Giving them 49 points...

Therefore Bristol City,Nottingham Forest and Barnsley safe and Coventry down with Pompey and Doncaster..

My thoughts,what are yours.....?
 
I think we will do well to get a draw with either Brum or Spam.

If you really think Coventry will win at Soton on the last day of the season I would
pile some money on it now as the odds must be pretty good....

When I filled in my predictions on the BBC predictor it came out Coventry - 43pts,
City 46 Pts and Coventry down in the last spot. However, going into the last game
Coventry were 3 pts behind and I predicted defeats for both of us. If they were to
win at Soton that would have put us down.

All I have to add is that I suspect at least 50% of our predictions will be wrong
as it is really hard to get more than half your guesses right from past experience.

Just hoping we don't blow it now we have got a head start. Coventry must be
down and I don't see their manager being inspirational enough to pick them
back up and that may be enough whatever we do.

I think that it's now looking highly unlikely that Shiny will be seen at the Mem eating **** in a Rovers shirt. Which is a real shame. :sad:

posted the same thing last night..COVENTRY PORTSMOUTH AND DONNY GO DOWN...dodgiest part is if we dont now get another 3 points and also bear in mind all the teams fighting us have a BONUS POINT
 
Can't see us getting much against Brum or WHU
Have to beat Barnsley and hope it doesn't go to the last day of the season

Last week I was convinced we'd only get a solitary point over the 2 Easter games but City are nothing if not unpredictable !

I think Donny and Pompey are as good as down, and I hope it'll be Coventry joining them

Can't see Cov getting anything at St Mary's, Southampton will hopefully be trying to confirm Champions

Hopefully Portsmouth don't win anything else now , so we don't get the tag that we were lucky that Portsmouth got 10 points reduction.

Or even better we get 6 points and Barnsley or Forest get nothing so they get the tag!
 
If Coventry lose 2 then were safe, they have Burnley and Southampton which i can see them both loosing, come on lads keep the faith, Its getting closer and closer :D
 
I've redone the Predictor with perhaps more realism than the first time two weeks ago.

19. P'boro 48 lose/lose/lose/lose
20. Millwall 48 draw v Leicester/lose/lose/lose
21. City 46 lose/lose/win v Barnsley/lose
22. Coventry 43 lose/win v Millwall/draw v Doncaster/lose
23. P'mouth 38 lose/win v Palace/draw v Derby/lose
24. Doncaster 36 win v P'mouth/lose/draw v Coventry/lose
 
only important thing for us is to not find in bottom 3 don't care how many points we need just as long as we get them
 
I wish I could be more optimistic. Coventry had been playing well and undefeated in 7 till we soundly beat them.

They have a quite realistic chance of Burnley away(1pt) and Milwall home (3pts) and Doncaster at home(3pts) - and if they are still in the frame 1 point to save themselves against Soton who will by then probably be automatically promoted. total 8pts.

We have to get 5 points for safety- which is at least 1 win, which we assume is v Barnsley plus 2 pts at least v Brum, Wham and Burnley away.
I don't know whether my nerves would stand it going into the last match knowing we have to win.
 
Anyone can beat anyone in this division, so it really is a lottery.

I have never won the lottery, and I am bottom 4 of Wizered's predictions league having not got one right all season.
However, more in hope than judgement I will suggest:

Pomp

Some might say this is something of a copple, but there is a fair chance it will go this way


Edit....Correction Rickster,you rose on the 3rd day to 29th place,you won some points.....wiz.
