Pearson reckons that we need to win 5 (4 at a push) of our 8 remaining games giving us 37 points to stay up..

Our run in:

West Brom
Swansea
Burnley
Chelsea
Newcastle
Saints
Sunderland
QPR

If we get a bit of luck back on our side there's at least 6 winnable games there. 15 points.
Chelsea is a write off but the rest are up for grabs!

Burnley/Chelsea/Newcastle are all close together but if we give the b-team a run out for Chelsea we may have a chance... Foxtimistic maybe, but on a good day we can have anyone!

Clinging to the Faith!

I think 35 points will be enough, so four wins may do us. We MUST beat Burnley, QPR and possibly Sunderland too (although they probably won't go down), with one other win (Newcastle at home certainly looks winnable). We'll also need a draw or two; hopefully we'll get at least that at West Brom. It's possible, but will be extremely tough, with barely any margin for error.

Looking at each of those games individually, I can't see why we wouldn't be able to win them.

But can we win at least 4 of them? Remains to be seen...

West Brom - Just got tonked 4-1 at home to the Dramas
Swansea - Not much left to play for this season
Burnley - Relegation rival, beat them away last season...
Chelsea - Home banker this one <yikes> Easily our toughest game, hopefully they'll already have wrapped the league up by then and take it easy!
Newcastle - Not much left to play for
Saints - Not much left to play for
Sunderland - Relegation rival...
QPR - Beat them home and away last season, huge game, but one we can win

Could be a new lowest points record needed to stay up. I'll go for 33/34 points to stay up, because there's a lot of ****e at the bottom of this league (us included).

I'd love it to be us to stay up, but can't see it with our fixtures.

And our goal difference will take a battering over the next few weeks.

Didn't realise who you had to play. You'll have a massive say in the final outcome.

Squeeky bum time and all that.

Saturday gave us a platform to build on. Im not too disheartened by Sunderland winning which meant we only gained a point on 17th

We win enough games we stay up simple as. It will be extremely tough but its something that is possible. We are playing well enough and look like we actually believe is possible. Cambiasso looks like he is inspiring the team.

We just have to set out to beat West Brom and then look at the table then. It could look really good or it could be curtains for us
