Overseas, make that a 10 grand bet and I'll give you 1000/1 odds? I'll just go and book that 5 star Carribean holiday with your money now shall I?

I wish you two would get a room. Everyone on here knows its love and we cant undertand why you keep up with ths charade, I'm off out to buy a hat.
Sorry for the delay in responding to this comment Simon (just noticed iy actually) as it is a very good point that you bring up. In respose I would say that we all probably know individuals who can laugh these things off, for example, the Newcastle fan who came out with the 'Knee-Grow' comment yesterday thought it was ok because he heard it told on TV by a black comedian. However, you have got to take into account that on an open internet forum such as this, there will be many others that will find these comments hurtful and disrespectful.
Yes and I am sorry if that thread caused offence. The trouble with the written word is that very often comments can be interpreted in a completely different way from which they are meant. At least when you have a face to face conversation it is much easier to tell if there is any intent to offend or if indeed the comments are genuinely light-hearted and not meant to be direspectfull. I suppose no-one really knows how anyone is going to react to certain comments...........walking in another man's shoes and all that.
It is a very fine line where the rules of what is and what is not acceptable, not just to the individual but also in the eyes of the law, change regularly. In my opinion those lines were well and truly crossed with the racist/disabled "jokes", but I'm also aware that other people will see it differently. Anyway, it's good that we can express our opinions in a dignified manner rather than revert to personal insults eh!
The mags are generally OK, but there are a few prize plums over there. However, I suspect they think the same about us.
I respect and admire Mr RAWââ¬â¢s stance on racial discrimination. Seeing the ââ¬Ådisability shotââ¬Â for the first time I saw it more as an unfunny wum at us rather than a dig at the disabled though. No wish to re-open the racist debate but donââ¬â¢t mind another crack at the NE nearly top club up the road. Is this, call it drivel, tolerable or simply barely disguised personal abuse for which I should be modded ? ââ¬ÅSimple Simon met a pie man on his way home from the match. Whatââ¬â¢s the score the pie man asked? 3-3 says Simple Simon. Not ours ya dick,I want to know did the Mackems beat the Hammers?Eh yeah they did by three clear goals simple Simon kinda stammered.**** me pink the big man said get Chapass in here quickly. Iââ¬â¢m sick and tired of looking up at Ellis Short and Quinny. Chapass stood there proud and tall and said that they were lucky. And anyway they only pipped us and there is no reason to be bitter.Fatty fumed and grabbed his heed and dumped it in the ****ter.ââ¬Â
I bloody hate it!!! It looks EXACTLY like my dog Benson, so now everytime he has a **** it will remind me of Syd's signature
I'm completely at ease with the idea of mod dialogue before decisions are made to delete threads/posts, but feel mods must maintain the ability to take immediate action to remove unsavoury posts that are blatantly offensive to other members. I enjoy the banter between both clubs and welcome many of the mags who visit our board for a bit of humour or debate. There are many members from both sides of the divide that I have respect for, because they really know their stuff when it comes to football. Both sides have their wind up merchants and comedians, and both sides have the occasional odd ball or village idiot that pops up from time to time with complete drivel, but that's something we all have to live with on a public forum. At times, both boards can be as bad as each other with the insults, swearing and general abuse, but what I see quite regularly is that the anger eventually calms down and we're all chums again. Not606 would not be the same forum if we didn't have the occasional spat, hilarious retorts and general piss taking that goes on on a daily basis. Fans from all clubs have made a huge contribution to this forum to make it what it is and I think we would all miss it if it was no longer here.
