Any tips on playing with Southampton since the update? I keep having a lot of possession but can't seem to score, and then I get beaten by people getting lucky rebounds and stuff. It's infuriating.

I play 4-4-2 with every single team on the game so obviously stick it on Saints too...

    Kelv
    Richardson - Fonte - Jos - Foxy
    Falque - Morgan - Corky - Lallana
    Sharp - Lambert

They're slow as hell so you need to play slow football. Pass it about the midfield, look for gaps forward. Morgan and Corky are great at playing diagonal through balls to the wingers, then ball into the box for either of the strikers or go in with the wingers themselves. If that's not working, I'll bring Lee on up top and stick Punch on the wing, run it with Punch a bit.

Finding Sharp difficult to play with on CM.

Haven't bought anyone, keeping team the same.

Just beat Liverpool in the FA Cup Quarter-Final!

Currently 2nd in the league, (West Ham top, they are seriously overrated and have only drop something like 9 points all season)

    Currently in Mid March <ok>

Thanks for the tips Dan, have certainly found there's a lack of pace in the team. Is there some way of saving your team settings? I found it much easier with 442 but can't be bothered changing it before every match!

My saints team when playing online is

    the normal set formation

De ridder upfront with Lallana behind him puncheon and falque on the wing and lambert and guly in midfield although you could easily switch lambert and cork around if you don't feel comfortable with that teams defensive ability.

Also you'll have to watch de ridders finishing its poor so just take it round the goalie with a heavy touch :)

Erm you can make 4-4-2 quicker to get to, by trying to edit 4-4-2 (1), not actually changing anything, then saving it. Then it appears at the top of the formations list which saves time. As far as I know there's no way to have an automatic line up for H2H matches though.

If you're struggling for pace, De Ridder is very fast (88? 89?) and I've even used Forte before.

    Career Mode update:

Got to the FA Cup final having beaten Liverpool and Chelsea marginally on the way.
I lost in ET to Newcastle. They didn't have a single attempt all game. Their goal was a cross in to the box, where it just hits one of their players and trickles in.

I finished second in the league.
Just kicked off the season in the Prem and have signed:
    Ben Amos (Man £1.4m
    Nathan Redmond (Birmingham) £4m
Ross Barkley (Everton) loan - future fee of £5.5m

And the big signing of Jan Vorteghen (Ajax) for £11.5m!

The board said he would sign and he did. He's an 83 and only 25 urs old.

I'm in my sixth season, at Hull. Started at Plymouth and on a very tight budget managed to come third in League 2. League 1 I was given a alright budget and managed to get in Danny Haynes and a Swedish 18 year-old called Lantto or something. I then finished first, with 103 points and had a terrible start to the next season, pointless in 7 after only bringing in 3 new players. Relegated on the last day!

I was then sacked but offered the job at Hull. Was given 8 million and a team with Holt and Lambert up top. Sold Holt accidentally so brought in a Brazilian on the last ay, he scored 35 for me. Went up through Play-offs. In Prem now, my team finished 11th with an amazing Danish striker - Kadrii? This season I hope to get into Europe and carry this on. I feel very much like I have been dragging on so will stop here,

    Chapel.

I find it improves as you get further in as new players become new superstars and potential really kicks in.

I've only done 2 games since the update but found 433(1) to work best with Chaplow, Cork and Hammond in midfield with De Ridder RW Lallana LW Lambert ST

I bring on Puncheon for Lallana at some point and Morgan for a midfielder

Forte's no longer in the squad! Sharp and Falque are quite quick too and Lallana's speed seems to have been improved? Real pain in the arse that you have to set up your team before every head-to-head match though.

Bugger, shows how much attention I pay. It's annoying that in real life our lack of pace doesn't matter because we can pass our way around teams, but it's a struggle on FIFA.

Yeah wish there was a way to make it default, but at least we don't have the ridiculous 40 sec time limit any more.
