Cheltenham are having another excellent season in League 2 and are still in the FA Cup. They've taken 10pts from a possible 15 in there last five games and have scored 10 and let in 7 which shows there not invisible at the back as was showed by Rochdale on the 21st of December when they managed to smack four past The Robins but they also showed there goal scoring ability five days later by scoring there own four goals against Wycombe. A few weeks ago I would of said we wouldn't of stood a chance in this fixture but that said we didn't cause Aldershot to many problems on boxing day and Chletenham will be ten times better then The Shots and unlikely to miss many chances. So IMO I think The Gas will put in an spirited performance as its a local derby to but can't see more then a Cheltenham win and with Eaves being off the boil of late and The Gas are really struggling to find the net which was shown against Aldershot on Boxing Day where one of our only shots on goal was a penalty. Final Score: Cheltenham Town 2 - 0 The Gas
I would say thats about right I predicted all along 4 points from this period of matches and still cant find a reason to change that, a good performance is probably the best realistically and if it comes off should see us have a fair chance of beating Argyle, on the other hand football does throw up some funny results so we could quite easily beat the Robins by the odd goal which under the circumstances would make us possible favorites to beat Argyle on New Years day.
evil post predicted the line up without clarkson. he went off injured vs aldershot, so is he definately out for tomorrow??
Bristol Rovers sign Hitchcock, O'Toole and Mildenhall Bristol Rovers have brought in three players on emergency loan deals. QPR forward Tom Hitchcock, 20, and Colchester midfielder John-Joe O'Toole, 24, have signed on one-month deals. Millwall keeper Steve Mildenhall, 34, who had been on loan at Scunthorpe, has also joined for a month with a view to extending until the end of the season. All three deals are subject to clearance, but the trio are expected to be available to face Plymouth on New Year's Day. Hitchcock joined Premier League Rangers earlier this year after leaving Blackburn Rovers, and previously had a three-month stint with Plymouth. O'Toole played under new Pirates manager John Ward during his time in charge of the U's. The former Republic of Ireland Under-21 international started his career with Watford and had a brief loan spell at Sheffield United before joining Colchester, where he signed a permanent deal in January 2010. He has made 11 appearances for the League One side this season and signed a two-year contract extension in June. Mildenhall, who made nine appearances for Scunthorpe this season, has not played for his parent club since February. He counts Swindon, Notts County, Oldham, Grimsby, Yeovil and Southend among his former sides.

Plymouth Argyle At A Glance Current League Position 20th PLD 24 W 5 D 9 L 10 GD -5 PTS 24 Last Five League Games York City H W 2-0 Exeter City A D 1-1 Accrington Stanley A D 1-1 Torquay United H D 1-1 Wycombe Wanderers H L 0-1 How Will It Go So John Wards first home game back as Bristol Rovers manager should be a good crowd for the first fixture of the new year. The last two meetings between The Pilgrims and The Gas at The Memorial Stadium have seen Rovers on both occasion throw away a 2 goal lead but hopefully with three new signings a new man in charge and bumper crowd The Gas can get that much needed home win the last being way back in early November Vs Chesterfield and this can be the kick start we need to push on up the table to safety. It will be very close IMO I can't see another 5 goal thriller like the last two matches between The Pilgrims and Pirates in Bristol but the new signings on board I think The Gas will just have enough to nick all 3pts. Final Score: The Gas 1 - 0 The Pilgrims
Great post couldnt agree more, i have put us down for a 1-0, that was two days ago and to be honest the three new signings havent changed my mind on that.
