Been there, got the brown underpants. Smoke in the cockpit one time coming back to Easington,. pilot cool as you like. Then again, it was a sunny summer day and the sea looked almost inviting. Found it more disconcerting when you landed on the platform offshore, howling gale six storeys up. looking down at the sea far below. deafening rotor blades, and having to more or less crawl off the landing deck or risk getting decapitated or blown away in the howling wind like a piece of tumbleweed..
