Google pulled the plug on us numerous times, even Mick who is generally quite liberal in his views even had to give in to the rules, because yes it costs the site money. So we had to pull everything in pain staking hours to keep the people at google happy. Maybe the reason google can dictate to us is because they supply our revenue through the ad's and we are not age restricted. We rely on google for income, might explain why other places can do it, because they don't. God knows but we just follow the rules to stop the plug getting pulled again, this includes from mobile network providers too, they were all getting the arse with us. Sorry lads we don't make the rules, we just apply them in this instance. But once the letters and emails started rolling in from google and network providers we got placed in a corner and eventually had to adhere. This is not the best detailed response, but the best i can give. The biggest problem we found is when you allow one minor stretch of the rules, some one then wants to push it to the next level, then the next level, so one small harmless nipple eventually becomes full blown sex, on that wet dream, i leave you in peace
That was my angle too kiwi. If the image came from a standard search that anyone could access without signing into an age restricted section then I didn't see a problem with body painted ladies being posted. It doesn't bother me that they are banned here though so no drama from me on the subject.
I done a little bit of research on what is google's policies and found this; Adult content What's the policy? The AdSense network is considered family-safe, which means that publishers aren't permitted to place Google ads on sites which contain pornography, adult, or mature content. If your site has content which you wouldn't be comfortable viewing at work or with family members around, then it probably isn't an appropriate site for Google ads. Please note that we also don't allow AdSense for search (AFS) search boxes to be placed on adult content pages. I took this extract from a site complaint; A client of mine recently bought a site which had been running adsense with no issues for 7 years. A few months after the purchase, adsense is banned as the site had 4 breastfeeding photos on it. Seems odd, looking at a major newspaper site today, and youtube.com seems google does allow adsense on some sites with breastfeeding images.... just not all. And found the same problem on Facebook; http://www.techtimes.com/articles/8...comeback-thanks-to-freethenipple-campaign.htm Basically it's a bloody minefied, and to avoid the site getting banned from google, we have taken the stance mentioned. Yes, we can argue all day long about what is acceptable and what is not through individual eyes, but as soon has you allow one aspect, someone will try and push it to the next minor boundary then the next. Myself and Minxy have seen this very same issue throughout the site for several years, a thread starts off with scantly clad ladies, then a nipple is shown, then someone moves it on to another stage, so in the end it was agreed after yet another google ban to stop it all together.
Thanks for that brb. You'll have no problem from me not being able to post such images. I'm not here to cause anyone grief or extra work and I respect the rules.
