Let me make it easy, the statement you made regarding the TA nickname was incorrect and probably a cobbled lie to excuse your earlier stupidity. Like I said, I don't need to think, some things are very evident if you have the knowledge. Now stop it, behave and talk about something you don't need to be contentious about to try and make yourself appear informed.
Lesser forces? My family fought for our freedom in both World Wars in those 'lesser forces', you ****.
If I was going to make up who I served with it would hardly be the Enigineers would it? Marines or Paras yes, Engineers no. Are you saying combat engineers don't exist?
You do realise anyone who has served in one of the services takes the piss out of the other two. Wind your neck in it was a joke.
My apologies for being insulted for what was 1)not a joke in my eyes and 2)incredibly disrespectful in my eyes.
You're distinction of 'combat engineer' is an unusual expression. Most would say Royal Engineers as a matter of equilibrium and respect to the other regiments. If you are legit, you'd acknowledge that point.
It was possible to wear the insignia of all three, if you recall. Some interesting trades in the Rough Engineers, but at e end of the day, we all dug for Queen and Country.
