At the risk of tempting fate, I think this is a cracking tie. Both sides should be well up for it; hopefully a great atmosphere and a great game, after which Pardew gracefully accepts that palace played well but just not well enough to beat a very good home team.
The difference this year is at least we know how good Palace are. I seem to recall last year we went ahead twice, and they equalised twice quite quickly, then Chamakh got the winner before half time. Then we had nothing in the second half. I know we won't take anything for granted but this really is our last chance to win something this season, so I really hope this game is treated as something of a priority.
What are the odds on Eastleigh being the only local club left in the cup, for the 4th round draw? Would be a bit odd, if it happened.
At the moment both Eastleigh and Southampton games are kicking off at the same time 3 o'clock on Saturday 9th January, missing a trick here as many locals would have liked to have attended both. Neither is on the TV.

So, I was there for last year's 4th Round debacle against Palace, and also for the rout by Liverpool the other day. I think I should go to this match too, don't you think?
I was trying to get a sense of the amount of hostility I might get from people on here if I decide to go!
Just got my FA Cup ticket. Really pleased, because normally I am stuck out in the side seats, but because of poor take up by ST holders I could get my prime seat that I used to have....only £7.
ps. take this as a warning if you do wish to book your usual seat for the FA Cup.....because KL 33J851 has lost his/hers. sucker
