Clubs that get into European competitions every year through weaker leagues tend to have stronger coefficients than many from good leagues that haven't qualified for some time. I'd much rather face Rapid Wien (if they reach the group stage) than Mainz or Celta, but Rapid has the better coefficient because they dusted a weak group last year before getting annihilated by Valencia in the first knockout stage.

Me to but hey ho.Indeed. If it had made no difference to our qualification status I would have wanted Palace to have won that, all day.. Down side is that WHU enter the qualification stage of the Europa. Almost taints the competition for me.

26th of August.? That's a lifetime away. I think this year more than any other, since I was at my most avid as a supporter 1960-80's inclusive, I have already started to suffer withdrawal symptoms. At this moment, the Euros, the Olympics, the Ramblers, even riding the old bike in sunny warm weather, is small beer compared to my excitement and expectations for next season. Don't worry, I'll get over it. I'm just telling you how it feels right now.
I'm pleased WHU are in the QE, they have a very challenging season coming up, and that will not help at all. Also, it makes the season start that bit earlier when you can cheer on some little no hope'r against, well a big no hope'r in July!
First game in the new stadium will be Dynamo Minnows in the 3rd round.
