Intriguing as if it was a new kit make the board would know about it. Let's hope for Bill Gates and plans for a new ground! However, Latics being Latics, it'll probably be an Anti-Climax.
One fan emailed Alan Hardy on this subject and got a reply that included: "The marketing plan seems to have done its job creating interest for what will be a significant piece of Latics history". I'm not sure how you would define 'significant', but this 'evolution' seems to have got us all guessing. A number of people think it will be a new on-line shop linked to a new kit manufacturer, new kit and a new badge - but could you call this 'a significant piece of Latics history'? Others have also suggested a name change, with the club dropping 'Athletic' - although this would be odd having used the 'we are latics' URL! I'd love it to be about a new stadium or investor(s), but I can't see this being announced in this way. I just hope it doesn't turn out to be an anti-climax!
I think it's going to be something unexpected. Someone mentioned Paul Scholes not signing a contract at United, maybe he will be the special guest at the Presentation dinner but I doubt it. I think it could be new investors, but I'm going to say it's a new kit so I don't get my hopes up. But whatever it is, it should be good.
