I can’t even do that, that’s one of my local sides (albeit I get the reasons and put them below the real Dons)
I remember that day well. Coached in under police escort. Police cars on the bridges across the M27, to deter yobs from dropping things onto the coaches. Police escort to the ground. Exit gates thrown open to allow fans in more quickly, as the turnstiles couldn’t cope. Being pelted with 2p coins on the terrace. The relief at seeing Biley waste that chance to put them 1 up. The ecstasy of seeing Moran’s shot hit the back of the net. The police escort back to the coaches with skates trying to get in amongst us. Happy days.
Sorry for the behavior of the yobbish element of our crowd. Luckily most of that is past now but you still get some middle-aged people being nostalgic about getting into fights in the 80s. I'm all for nostalgia, but being nostalgic about acting like a bunch of savage animals with no self control is just pathetic.
No need to apologise. That’s how it was in those days. Thankfully we have mostly moved on from that. Only 2 seasons ago, walking to St Mary’s, I was embarrassed to see some middle aged nutters trying to get a rise out of Bournemouth fans walking down the other side of the road. Pathetic really.
Lol, two 9-0 losses in consecutive seasons! Maybe not, but an hour ago is pretty recent! (this is revenge for the Lincoln post last week, and the Hull one before that)
And how does it make you feel PL that you get hammered 0-4 in your own swamp by a team that lost 0-9 in consecutive seasons? I'm sure that's a weird reverse badge of honour the swamp dwellers will get some kind of perverse pleasure from, that's if there is such a thing as pleasure in Pompey.
@PompeyLapras you have every right to have a crow right now We dish it out, boots on the other foot today.
Lol. Cry more Dress it up however you like, but it's far more embarrassing to lose 9-0 in consecutive seasons than to lose 4-0 to a team two divisions higher than you in a cup few care about, rivals or not.
