A YOUNG mum scratched a woman in the face after birthday celebrations in the city centre.
Chelsea Aitchison,19, attacked the woman at a taxi rank after asking if she had called her fat.
Mum-of-one Aitchison had been marking her 18th birthday with a night out in Glasgow, and had been to a nightclub before getting food in a takeaway.
As she walked along the street she challenged a 21-year-old who was waiting for a taxi, around 3.30 am, and said:" Did you just call me fat?"
Aitchison then lashed out and scratched the woman in the face.
Aitchison's lawyer said had "left a nightclub for some food and it was then she responded to a comment she believed she heard."
Sheriff McConnell said she was pleased that Aitchison, of Prospecthill Street in Greenock, was now working and studying and overall was trying to do the best for her child.

They are supported by officers seconded from Romania who join Police Scotland officers at community events to speak to the area's Roma population.
