I think most have been impressed by Italy mate but as ive said for a while now, our squad is the best in this tournament. Narrow it down to a starting 11 and things start to even out a tad. Expand to 23 and we start to see real quality. Rashford, Foden, Grealish, Sancho, Henderson, are just 5 names ive picked that would have walked into the Denmark starting 11, the team we met in the semis, highlighting our quality in depth.I’ve been very impressed by Italy…….can’t see us beating them.
Though I hope I’m wrong

I feel broadly the same, Stainsey - although I would have said the same about Germany in 1966![]()
They said the same about Germany AND Italy in 1945....![]()

Just been reading about some of the abuse the Danes were receiving during and after the game. I personally dont recall witnessing anything but one of my pals has confirmed it today. A group of grown men, surrounding 3 danish fans (2 women) and shouting and dancing in front of them, not letting them move. Quite disgusting really.
It really isnt pleasent, these were grown men, probably fathers and husbands themselves. Wish they could be named and shamed for the cowardly twats they are! There was an incident reported on TV where a family of Danish supporters (husband, wife, daughter) were confronted by some England fans and the man ended up being punched in the stomach. It's this kind of stuff, along with the booing of national anthems and general ****ish behaviour which takes the edge off the enjoyment for me. These ****s don't deserve an England win.

There’s always some bullies in the England support mate, been like it for years.
Reminds me of when we played in Rome 1997 when Paul Ince got bloody and battered……The city was made a ‘dry zone’ and alcohol was forbidden. There was a group of about 15 of us, good lads, and we found a little bar run by an old fella and his Mrs who really looked after us……giving us alcohol in tea cups and scattering non alcoholic beer cans about so that if the OB came in we’d be ok…..even serving up plates full of sun dried tomatoes and breads for us all…we were well looked after.
After about an hour another mob of English fans came in and started to get abusive to the owner and throwing their weight around……only to **** off sharpish when we told them in no uncertain terms that they weren’t welcome in the bar (we had some proper lads in our mob). Funny as **** it was and I still remember it to this day.
There just seem to be too many ****ers supporting England, mate. I was at Wembley when we beat Scotland in Euro 96 and pretty much everyone around me was a ****. It was a horrible experience and I vowed not to go to any more England games. The only one I've been to since was when I took my young son to see us play USA in a friendly. We were near a large group of USA supporters who applauded our anthem. Theirs was loudly booed and I was ashamed.
Indeed...already cracked open the wine! This is going to be a very long day.
