Well, I’ll be the first to say it.
If England with home advantage, beat a Germany which is a shadow of previous teams, then the route to the final is open, much the ‘easier’ half of the draw.
But I’m sure not everyone will agree.

Only for the superstitious…….do you not think we are good enough?
Belgium, Portugal, France, Italy, Spain……..don’t have to play any of them until the final.
Must admit that haven't seen any side in last 16 that I'd say I wouldn't fancy us against...... Get past Germany and things open up nicely....
If our objective remains to keep a clean sheet and score a single goal I think we are extremely vulnerable to any team that wants to have a go at us and has some talented players.
But I’m sure not everyone will agree.
After 39 games so far I did not see a worthy champion so far. None of the teams proved to be exceptionally skillful, overwhelmingly entertaining. On the contrary, pretty even games mostly which might lead to a champion that noone had expected upfront. Wouldn´t be surprised to see Sweden against Portugal in the final.
Now we are in the knock out phase I think most of the remaining teams will have to have a go at us. However bad England have been at taking penalties, I can't see a team relying on that, not until extra time anyway.
I think we have the players, going forward at least, to get to the final and possibly win this thing. A bit of belief and freedom from the fear of losing and we’ll see.
At the moment I don’t think we will do this, based on what I have seen so far.
But I’m sure some, or possibly many, will disagree.
Game needed something special and the less well known hazad provides it...... cracking finish....

The fear of losing influences team selection, hence the ultra-cautious set-up and lack of creativity. In this half of the draw we really have a great chance as we did in the last World Cup, will Southgate change his style? I think we all know the answer...
I've no idea how he did it but he struck the ball with the instep of his right foot yet the ball moved left to right....... the same as Remy against Wigan..... seems to defy physics.....
