All of a sudden, Portugal 2 up - say what you like, Ronaldo is a record breaker of the highest standard. I'm quite pleased, as my brother-in-law is from Lisbon!
My next door neighbour is from Madeira, as is Ronaldo. His Sky feed was 5 seconds behind ordinary Freeview, so we were braced for the bellows of joy before they came…..but Portugal can’t win this, he also supports Chelsea so he’s had his big present for this year. Portugal are a good team though and I think they will be better against better opponents. I just hope that this weird format doesn’t end up with a final round of group games that don’t really matter.
