Did seem that way, no doubt someone will put us right, by telling us how Scotland were much better defensively once he went off.
Is there any disaster that can't be explained by Grant Hanley being injured? I'm pretty sure global warming would reverse if only we could keep him fit, such would be the reduction in hot air on here!
Blimey, not a single comment on the England game. Apathy or what? Says a lot about the team, manager etc when Scotland gets more attention.
Eh, so little to say! Three games in a row of doing just enough (or not) to scrape a 1-0 win. No indication that England can control the game well enough to suppress a better side, with both Scotland and the Czech's having good chances to punish England. Seemingly no desire to go on and make a result certain once 1-0 up. I can't see how this approach gets us by a better team in the knockout stages.
A decent first half in the opening game, a 15-minute spell in the opening of the third game - the rest of the matches have been too pedestrian to talk about - commonly known as dogshit. it's going to take a vast improvement to get past the next game, be it France, Portugal, or Germany. Harry Kane looks like he did during his Norwich days Based on their performances, they will get knocked out if it's more if the same.
Only seen brief highlights, but he perhaps could have worked harder defensively for the third Swedish goal, considering his pace. Reviews of his performance on twitter were pretty positive though. Some good crossing apparently.
He got 3 or 4 good crosses in and blazed a shot over . Poland looked much better when he came on . At least he got a 20 minutes .
But definitely the luck of the draw. Beat Germany and there's not much in England's half of the draw except The Netherlands. Compare the other half: Italy, France, Belgium, Spain, Portugal.
Can't help but feel we've got the players to beat zee Germans; we just don't seem to have zee tactics.
