3rd time Cedric has passed over crossing duties to a senior player who sends in an appalling effort that doesn't even reach the players. The one cross I've seen Cedric do was a good one. The few times he's passed to a teammate instead, the cross has been ****.

The trouble with playing for Southampton is that you are used to being surrounded by good players.

It's typical of this game that of one of the few genuine chances either side has had, the taker slips while negotiating the free-kick.

Cedric put three good crosses in earlier and there were no Portuguese forwards in sight challenging so he hasn't attempted it since, just playing the short pass and running in to space and not getting the ball back, must be frustrating the heck out him.

Are you a football fan or a Saints fan? After watching the first 2 knock-out games and trying to stay awake (and failing) I know I'm just a Saints fan! I would recommend just reading these games on the BBC sports text. At least then you can be entertained by some witty commentary. After 90 minutes of Croatia v Portugal Phil Dawkes says "Thirty more minutes of this? I might cry." better than the game for sure.
