Also the Portugal 2nd kit is horrible. Why are they even wearing it this game? Makes it much more difficult to tell the players apart on the wide shots

Nor do I particularly. But win here, and conceivably Fonte and Cedric could find themselves playing right through the final. I can't not support that.

Maybe if Croatia take out Ronaldo and Nani early on, I'll find it a more comfortable task.

Oh, that is very nasty from Jose Fonte. Ivan Rakitic falls under a tackle and the Portuguese defender slams his foot down on the Croatian's lower leg. Clearly the referee didn't see it.

Portugal for me, the Algarve is one of my favourite holiday locations and the Portuguese are so much frendlier and anglophiles than the Spanish, they are lovely people.
Pepe is a cheat and Ronaldo is a bighead, but apart from that I like them, plus Rui Costa is one of my all time favourite players.

One thing about Lee Dixon. He was a good pundit on the BBC, but he improved the punditry at ITV when he left. Does anyone know why he suddenly went.? I know he wasn't best professional pals with Shearer, but that's all.

Agree, the addition of Cedric and Fonte has made the Portgular defence far less entertaining than in their game v Hungary
