International friendlies in the run-up to a major tournament are about as significant as pre-season friendlies against third-tier Swiss teams.
I just hope the referees clamp down on the acting. Watched the Cl final and Pepe was rolling around in agony after a little foul, looked up to see where the referee was, and then continued his shameful acting. I hope Mark Clattenburg takes a look at the game to see what he did well and where his weaknesses were. His number one weakness ignoring said acting. When a player is fouled and starts rolling around in agony 5 metres one way, and 5 metres back he should be instantly shown the yellow for blatant cheating.
They're also in the Eurovision Song Contest so it's shameful that they're not in Euro 2016 tooWhen I voted for other there wasn't an option for Australia!! They are taking part, aren't they? And if they are not, they should be as the country is full of expats from European countries.
Wow, they're selling them cheap even before the tournament starts!

Agree that we'll beat Russia. If so will probs only need a point from last two. If Wales win their opener too i can see us playing out a draw with them.
This brings to mind the (West) Germany vs Austria match in the 1982 world cup (Thankyou Wikipedia), when the two teams played out a 1-0 win to West Germany, which is exactly what they both wanted, and both teams progressed to the knockout stages, at the expense of Algeria. From then on, the final group matches of all competitions have been played at the same time, to avoid giving teams any advantage of knowing what result would suit both of the teams playing.
I'm not suggesting for an instant that Wales and England would collude to fix a result, but you can be sure that any team which failed to qualify at our (or Wales') expense will use the England v Wales result, especially if it is a draw, as an excuse.
Understand the point but it' s the 2nd game n not 3rd and if we both win our openers n it's 1-1 with 10 to go I could see both teams settling for that as 4 points will almost certainly be enough to qualify. All hypothetical though of course.
Another example is Sweden & Denmark drawing 2-2 to send Italy out in 2004 (i think??)
Whereas in Wales the big fuss is that no women's football shirt has been produced, just t-shirts with various sayings/words.That gives one a great indication of the massive enthusiasm the tournament is generating.![]()
On his birthday as well! Happy Birthday Marco!
He is injured and could be out for months. The bigger shock is they have hardly any wingers now with the others they aren't taking.Germany have left Marco Reus out of their squad. On his birthday as well! Happy Birthday Marco!
