Surprised there hasn't been more Chat about how Davis and co have played so far. (Or have I missed it as usual) Davis in my view has been a real starlet for NI. He really has proved his worth to them as he has done for Saints.
Davis for NI is exactly like Davis for Saints. All over the place and the heartbeat of the team. Jumped for joy when N I's first goal went in. Gareth McCauley is well liked in Lincoln. We brought him over from N Ireland and it was a struggle because he didn't want to leave N Ireland. Well chuffed for the lad.
Compared Zlatan to Pelle on Sky earlier. Zlatan obviously a better striker was the verdict, but Pelle was more of a team player.
That's true. Buffon is seeing more of the ball than the Swedish keeper though. Sweden's work rate is impressive, as is consistent with players in mid-season. Mind you, I don't know how many of them play in Sweden.
Pass gets pinged up to Pelle, like a shot, and he lays it off into the path of a teammate. That was appreciated. Team starting to get up to Pelle so he's getting more involved now. Certainly more involved than Zlatan, for example. Zlatan suddenly gets involved.
Just a change of tactic. Sweden are playing such a high line that Italy wanted to get them to move back. Sweden still squeezing the pitch though.
