Well they must eventually do something. Cue them doing nothing during the tournament.

The system was all wrong. Hopefully we won't try to play Vardy, Kane &.Rooney during the tournament!

Yet again, England are our own worst enemy.

Shoehorning players into the wrong formation. I love Vardy and Kane, but for **** sake, why play them out there. Lallana was very good when he came on.
I never got the Rooney bashing particularly, but my god, what does he actually offer? He's just a passenger.

    God you're hard to please.

Incidentally, isn't universally acknowledged that it's often harder to score against 10 men when the 10 are totally committed to defence? We didn't look like scoring, the manager made some changes and things started to happen. Credit where it's due? I won't hold my breath <cheers>

That painted Vauxhall sign in the grass looked convincing.

Not at all. I just think that Wilshere is an unfit donkey and that Sterling is massively out of form. The best English midfielder was left out of the squad. That's happened before.

Tbf, I don't really have any faith whether England do well or not, but I'm clutching at straws as Saints aren't playing.

I reckon Dele Alli has a fantastic temperament. And I'm so glad it came in handy for the last 3 games of last season. <laugh>

Dewch mlaen, Cymru! Auto-correct really doesn't like the Welsh language  By the way, if you're going to attempt saying it, the ch in the first word sounds as though you're spitting from the back of your throat. Not quite :emoticon-0119-puke: but close :D

Well Vardy cannot play left side.

I think it was a good test as normally we come up against teams that we cannot break down and seemingly our impact subs, especially Wilshere have the ability to unlock defences and this is something that we need. We may laud Vardy but he plays on the shoulder and we have to remember that a lot of teams will sit deep, so in some scenarios this will not work. I think we do have impact players, which is useful.

My formation has changed and Alli is out after yet another lacklustre performance.

    It is now:

Hart (wish it could be Forster)
    Clyne-Cahill-Stones-Bertrand
    Dier
    Wilshere-Lallana
    Rooney
    Vardy-Kane

Note to Roy: Vardy plays best on the right and not as a winger......on the left.
Wing backs need to defend AND in this formation of yours provide width. Rose and Walker do one or the other and never both in the same game.
Smalling cannot defend without pulling shirts.
Wilshere and Lallana are much better than an off form Alli and an ageing Milner.
AND TAKE KANE OFF FREE KICK AND CORNER DUTY.
