The argument earlier was based on Le Pen saying there'd be no free education for immigrants, you made some bollocks comparison with Scotland and thus defended the idea - as reported.

This evening it's been clarified she was supposedly referring to illegals. Which makes the entire discussion moot, as there's no issue with that premise.

You're trying your usual rewrite stumpy, and in doing that avoided stating your specific argument.

The initial claim related to foreigners not getting free education. I pointed out that is true in Scotland.

There was then a bit of wriggling over the age groups being referred to, then it got to immigrants, and eventually the more accurate illegal immigrants.

I then pointed out the UK rules.

After that, you've popped up to try to reframe it and try to avoid the fact you were simply wrong again.

Yeah that's exactly what happened and no one can prove otherwise... unless they read through the thread.

They can't prove otherwise if the DO read through the thread. :emoticon-0105-wink:

What's your position now? Last I recall it was that you disagree with Le Penn when she wants to charge illegal immigrants, but support the UK that charges non-UK/EU citizens (with some exceptions)

Just wondered.I'll assume you're not religious?.......you didn't say the jewish guy was religious.
I didn't say the Muslim guy was religious either...

I'm not religious. If there is a god then I disagree with its strategy so it's not for me.

What is all this crap about!?

It seems pretty clear. If you are a child of compulsory school age, with permission to stay in the U.K. - resident or not, you are entitled to free education.

If you are above the age of compulsory education, or you do not have permission to stay in the U.K, you are not entitled to free education.

Edit: I should have added that Le Pen is an odious fascist bitch. Whatever her final proposals turn out to be, you can bet that they won't be favourable to non indigenous French.

I've said several times I disagree with the UK's policy as you quoted it, which other posters have pointed out isn't as clear cut as you make out.

As has also been pointed out, it's a moot point now she's later clarified her comments (or backtracked, one might argue).

I would say you supported her first comments but you didn't actually give an opinion at all (shocked). You just came up with a ridiculous argument that Scotland charging non-Scottish students more for tertiary education was the same thing, despite that firstly not being the same thing at all and secondly being the case across the world.

What utter and complete bollocks, the discussion from the off was about immigrants not foreigners

Its not true in Scotland either you brainless dolt. Higher education costs the same (or less) in Scotland for English students, as it costs them in England. Higher education had precisely **** ALL to do with the discussion anyway, and was just your piss poor attempt at defending Le Pen - another of your right wing heroes it seems.

The intial report was that immigrants would get no free education in France, which goes against the UN Human rights treaty, as pointed out to the Brummie ****wit.

You argued that they should become citizens in order to qualify , but without understanding that takes 5 years of domicile in France.

The entire discussion was made moot by Le Pen either back tracking or clarifying that she was supposedly referring to illegals.

You tedious snide Bizzie

I didn't support her comments, I simply pointed out that the ones she proposes are similar to the current UK ones, which I quoted.

You clearly hadn't read past the headline, as she hadn't back tracked but elaborated when asked further and your initial comment about foreigners was wrong. You also clearly had no idea on the UK policy that's been in place for quite a while. That points to your anger and indigence being as ridiculous as what you tried to infer in your initial post where you confused border control and immigration.

You keep trying to be a smart arse, and failing hysterically.

That's just random words making a noise stumpy. It's been debunked when you tried it earlier.

Cut the bullshit, just state your position on the issue instead of trying to reframe the discussion.

Dull, given you get into these discussions on a daily basis, on a range of subjects and with numerous posters, is it fair to assume that you consider yourself to be a genius across all subjects and everyone else is just plain wrong?

Were you popular at school?
