Everyone that comes to the UK through legal avenues has to show that they have permission to enter. I'd call that border control

Seems to have worked well for Nigel Farage, who has used the same method with both of his wives.
They're both EU citizens, so his four kids all count, too.
He wasn't visiting the German embassy to sort himself out with one, though. Nope. That never happened.
