I'm prepared to give Theresa May a chance. In the unlikely event of Jeremy Corbyn ever becoming PM I'd be prepared to give him a chance. But Trump? To me that's a bit like giving Hitler a chance. He scares the **** out of me, and so do his gun toting Hill Billy supporters. Which is a bit of a shame, as I love Hillbilly music.

I don't think anyone is arguing that Trump and Clinton aren't both horrible people.
The main cause of Trumps victory was purely because he is not beholden to donors and is not part of the political establishment, and the fact that, like Labour over here, in electing duff leaders, the democrats put Trump up against someone loathed in Clinton.
Clinton is as unelectable in the US as Milliband and Corbyn are over here.
That's the crux of it.

 

I think he scares most non-Americans. I guess that because they know no difference in terms of gun ownership etc., it's maybe not as controversial or scary to them.
