I'm catching up reading this thread and wasn't going to comment, just observe. But then I saw this comment about Jacob Rees-Mogg and had to get involved. The man is very bright, incredibly articulate, comes across as someone who with genuine passion represents his constituents, I've seen him described as a good MP by members of labour as well as the tories and I even saw a video of him where he actually knew the price of bread and milk and other normal people ****. Top bloke.

Probably the wrong day to say this. He said he'd vote for Trump, if he was American.

He didn't actually say he would vote for trump though did he... He said he would likely be a republican if he was an American but being a Brit didn't have to wrestle with the idea of voting republican meaning voting for trump...

Oh, come on! <laugh> He just didn't want to say it.
I think that voting for a party no matter what is even worse, to be honest.
Trump demonstrates the flaw with that idea and it's clear that many people think he's poisonous.

There are two choices in the forthcoming election. Trump or Clinton. If you're voting republican you're voting for Trump!

Just read a bit about Jacob Rees Mogg. The guy campaigned for Somerset to have its own timezone and prevented legislation he didn't like by talking for hours about pigs. He is unashamedly far rjght, anti gay, pro house of lords and calls global warming alarmist .

He inhabits a planet in a far off Galaxy, like so many of his ilk. He has pretty much zero knowledge or understanding of the real everyday world of 99.9% of ordinary people.

You don't believe people like him actually exist until you work with some of them.

Or a quicker way of deciphering whether someone is likeable or not is to see whether Dull from Hull likes them or not...then go for the other choice.

Loves a bit of fracking as well, and is a climate change denier...

His view on neither issue has anything to do with the fact the company he's a partner in has large investments in oil and gas companies like........honest

Today's inflation figures are interesting. CPI unchanged at 0.6% but raw materials up 7.6% which means manufacturers are currently absorbing the cost of the currency drop.

    Or the retail outlets.

These things always take time to feed through into shop prices.
