Perhaps, we'll see if a European army happens without us. Would you have gone along with that merrily in the event of a narrow Remain win?

You've missed the point of the post spectacularly.

The EU army has been delayed because we left the EU. They have other more pressing issues just to survive.

Remaining as things were was simply not an option on the table.

My comment wasn't directed at you, it's up to you to decide "if the cap fits".
I will however repeat some of my earlier comments around what is fact and what is opinion.
All we currently know as fact, is that the pound has taken a battering and other economic data shows that we are holding up better than some analysts have predicted.
Everything beyond this is speculation at the moment.

I'm next to positive that it's far more than speculation.

As I've said, given a certain economic scenario it's not difficult to calculate the results of that scenario, assuming nothing changes. The thing that is more difficult to measure is the 'Lag effect', in other words how long the consequences of certain actions take before the effects are felt.

The links I posted are all facts and figures of what's happening now. Unless there's a dramatic change of course, an/or of confidence - both national and international, the outcome is virtually inevitable..

You may be right there Hull but my main point was it all starts somewhere. And it takes good men to do nothing for it to become considered acceptable.

Would this EU army be forced upon the UK in the same way that the Euro was?

I'd love Kustard to explain why he liked Dull's post about the Democrats being a racist party <laugh>

That was certaonly the case back in the 50's. There was a shift in 60's when the racist element of the democrats were pissed at the democrats backing desegregation and they all jumped ship and became Republicans. Like I have been saying, political parties evolve. Nowadays the Republicans are batshit and should not even be considered as a viable option for government. Though the democrats shot themselves in the foot by rigging their primary to get the crooked as **** Clinton in there when Bernie Sanders was the candidate the people wanted

    Lmao at Tobes avatar <laugh>

Do you know what would seriously improve this thread? If ever poster on here changed their avatar to Two Kitchen Pete's.

Imagine it, regardless of which side you're on, every poster and every post with Pete's avatar. A bit like that Being Malkovich film.

Shall we?? Can someone post a link for it please?

    Which photo do you want?

Bodanki has Young Pete, Tobes has Middle Aged Pete and I have the Pete of today, also known as Tramp Pete.

There are arguments that say your verion where racist elements jumped ship are wrong.

A clue is that the Republicans were the black choice.

The blacks ended up siding with the Democrats, which included the KKK after the democrat policies put them out of work with no social safety net.

People who are against racism, should be anti-Clinton.

Clinton has said she's going to get tough on immigration, particularly Mexico, where she advocates building more walls and fences across the border.
