As I said, you rephrased the question WORZEL, but the polls do seem to point to them preferring a UK out of the EU to a Scotland trying to survive on its own.

I never rephrased anything, you said the Scots were OK with Brexit.

You've posted links about their views when asked about a second referendum on independence

You've decided the 2 are inextricably linked, which is a massive assumption and not what was asked.

He even asked PnP to find the evidence in question and when he did its somehow my fault and I am stupid because I should have known he had forgotten. He forgot something that happened to him but somehow I am supposed to know he forgot about it<laugh>

They wanted to stay in the UK, as demonstrated by the vote.

The UK which they are a part of voted out of the EU.

    That's democracy.

That was many hundreds of years before, when there wasn't really an England, let alone a United Kingdom.

    Again, an irrelevant analogy!...

So what's the time limit on conquests? How long can a subjugated sovereignty threaten secession before their beef expires?

Turn on the news, watch those poor people in the Jungle being interviewed and tell me that they don't deserve all the help our guilty country can give them.

Alternatively, write them all off as scroungers and terrorists.

Sorry for being serious, back to taking the piss out of Dull's repetitive, voluntary humiliation.

As I said, at the time you're referring to England didn't exist as a country. It was a hotch potch of rival kingdoms.

Scotland was a long established independent nation that was forced into a union to try to prevent any further catholic succession to the throne.

A forced union that resulted in the Jacobite revolution some 35 years later.

At least you're signing off with your descriptive name. :emoticon-0105-wink:

You can spin it how you want and you no doubt will try anyway. but they voted to stay part of the UK. The UK they chose to be a part of voted out of the EU. Polls say they'd rather stay with the UK than go on their own. Going to the EU is not really a credible option for them for quite some time, if ever.

Isn't Scotland named after the Irish tribes that went there, Hibernia and Scotia? I think Strathclyde people were Welsh that moved there, so maybe we should take their votes out of the EU referendum results.
