Well May has said today that negotiations will require "give and take" which goes against his earlier assertions that we will get everything we want because we had an empire once.

    http://news.sky.com/story/theresa-may-says-brexit-will-demand-give-and-take-with-eu-10626263

Not to mention May throwing a hissy fit at the suggestion negotiations might not take place in English. Again, as we had an empire once this is surely preposterous. Who would have thought the EU would have made things difficult? Unbelievable that Jonny Foreigner doesn't know his place.

As Rees-Mogg seemed to just irritate people so they couldn't hear his words, in the interest of balance, here's the opposition. It gives an indication of some groups key members associate themselves with,

I heard his words, I just don't agree with his view that everything is the EUs fault, that EU laws are passed without reason and that the system is undemocratic.

I took him as saying not that everything was the EU's fault, but that that we could be better outside of it.

I don't think he said they were made without reason, more that we could make more relevant laws ourselves.

In a democracy, we can change leaders and the political leanings of those parties that govern us. As we can't do that, I don't see how the claim it's undemocratic is disputable, particularly so when election mandates cannot be fulfilled.

Le Pen is the leader of Fascist Party who share platforms with and defend Holocaust deniers and Hitler sympathisers.
Completely beyond me why anything that piece of **** says would be of interest to you.

It's peoples opinions of the specific words she says in the video that interest me.

Like I said mate...she is a Fascist... her party allows members to defend Hitlers Nazi's and denies the Holocaust.
She is (by the very definition of Fascist) anti democratic and as such nothing the nazi **** says is of use in this or any other debate.
I don't agree with the other video but don't question why you'd use it but I think using Le Pen is a mistake on your part.
Nazi's should only ever be treated with utter like the ****s they are.

There's a shock. Fancy you just posting an attempt at childish abuse rather than discussing the topic. One day you'll work out your 'abuse' has zero effect. You could perhaps take a ticket and join the queue of people who can kiss my arse. <ok>

With your record on accuracy, I'll take it as a compliment. <ok>

Do you have a link to the part of the video where she says that?

Does a similar approach apply to Dianne Abbot?

Rees Mogg is narked that he can't prevent democracy in European parliament the way he does in the commons. The structure is just as democratic as the UK system, it's just that devolved powers go through MEPs and not him.

The laws he refers to are to do with climate change, pesticide/ antibiotic control and sustainable farming/fishing. It is hardly surprising that a climate denying free marketeer would have a very different view of the EU regulation to mine.

The Climate Change issues are International ones rather than from the EU particularly, but there is a common approach and the UK legislation is the UK Climate Change Act.

The farming and fishing regs are EU driven, and many farmers have tried to oppose them. It tends to be the larger industrial farms that favour them.

The EU is not as democratic as the UK Government for the reasons I mentioned in the earlier reply.

A Fascist is completely different to any other political person. I can't stand certain parties but the are part of the democratic process ... the history of the 20th century shows this is not the case with Fascism.
Diane Abbott is an idiot imo but not a Fascist. The other video you posted is from a Tory. I have never and will never vote Tory but they ain't Fascists.
Therefore a similar approach does not apply to Abbot or any other democratic political person...because they are not Fascists.
As for what she says in the video...it is easy enough to find quotes from her and other leading members of her national front party by using Google

The only topic up for discussion seems to be just how bigoted and ultra right wing you are. I mean, really, Rees-Mogg?? He's a complete ****ing loon!...

Or, it's really just a matter of what a twat you are. But, no change there.,..

That's as maybe, but over and above that, there's a chance she could be in power in France. That being the case, ignoring her would be even more foolish.

The fact Abbot gets away with a level of racism that Farage or LePenn couldn't is something else that shouldn't be ignored.

I do find the trend on here to target messengers not messages intriguing.

Quite funny that May gave her speech while the waiters were clearing up (ok I exaggerate), she got 5 mins and no one responded. Today she's told that negotiations will take place in French. They're ****ing with her <laugh>
