Not many comments from lefty folk this morning.

I presume they're still in bed.

They're going to be shown to the entrance of the Chunnel and handed a croissant, a bottle of Orangina and an English phrase book.

    Greetings from Rome.

<laugh> ... oh dear Adolf, is that the best you've got? ... not having my own view is something I haven't been accused of before (rather the opposite) ... is it that I've criticised your bible? ... or simply that I don't subscribe to your little Englander mantra? ... you can put that down to a lack of 'patriotism' if it helps you get excited ... I'll continue to attribute it to a higher level of intelligence than you, Pete and the Schutzstaffel ... <laugh>

Not something you would do Pete is it. You are more of the anti-social type.

You're new to this thread and have quickly demonstrated a Kustard like grasp of the issue. The majority of the Tory party were pro Remain. They're not "lefty folk". The majority of unemployed and particularly unemployable folk were pro Leave. They're most likely "lefty folk".

Something you should pick up on before you become a full on one eyed **** like Pete; just because someone disagrees with you it doesn't make them the opposite of you or wrong.

    Said the Remainer Tory.

Stanley I don't think we've come across each other before - I am up for reasoned debate.

If you scroll through yesterdays posts then you will note this and understand my opinions.

Today, however, I'm more interested in annoying people <ok>

They should really be basing age on a brain recognition app. Many yes voters will be found to be under 18 and so not eligible to vote

Fantastic and they're loving it. The Pantheon is more incredible every time you see it. Unbelievable to think it was engineered and built c.2,000 years ago.

... have you done the Piazza Navona yet? ... had a lovely (if rather expensive) coffee and pastry there all those years ago when on honeymoon ... one of my abiding memories ..

Another fabulous city tbf ... went on an 'international' course there when I was working for one of my previous employers .... hotel was the Radisson which is very close to the red light district and the radio/tv tower that the East Germans built to look over the wall into the west - worth going up to the top to get the view over Berlin ... also worth walking along Orangeboomestrasse (might not be spelt right) later in the evening <whistle> just for the view! - every bright street light has a 'lady' standing in its glow! ... some amazing bars - one is built on the remains of a bombed out church ... cracking night out tbf ... but stay in control <laugh>

    Sounds quality mate <ok>

    Thanks for the tips.

Me and my friends are a bit seedy so we'll definitely be having a look round those places!

I'm a history buff which is the main reason for going there.

    And for the beer.

I've done Munich a couple of times and had a night out in Frankfurt.

Find the Germans, or Bavarians at least, really friendly and good fun.
