    The pedant is back.
For the record I meant trying to restrict entry with the aim of maintaining cultural identity.

Why dont they go to another country that has the same culture as them, ie Saudi Arabia, it has the space and 3 million tents ready to be used.
Yes the West can help pay for it as you say, we caused the problem in the first place.
Most people coming here are not from war torn countries but from Iran and Pakistan, they are simply economic migrants, same with Africa (most not all).
The EU can keep taking in all these people, it will/is causing friction and will result in riots before long and how many will be murdered because of this?

I don't even know where to start with this <laugh>

Just one point, Saudi Arabia probably has one of the worst Human rights records in the world. (They are also one of the UK arms manufacturers best customers) ........

Well the reason they dont go to Saudi Arabia, is because Saudi Arabia has said they will not let any of them in, thats probably the main reason.

Read it again, he said not from War torn countries but from Iran, meaning they aren't at war.
Doesn't make his suggestion that they go to Saudi Arabia any better tho :p

I see, well yea, cannot say I have ever met an iranian to my knowledge.
Plenty of Pakistanis and Bengalis. About a quarter of my primary and Middle school was from Bangladesh.

I used to go out with a ballet dancer who was half Iranian. Her mother fled Iran when after the Islamic revolution. She told me that (especially for women) Iran was culturally very vibrant and creative and quite westernised before the revolution.

Saudi & Kuwait were the two worst when I used to go out to the ME on business. The way they treat so called fellow Muslims from places like Pakistan and Bangladesh is appalling. No better than slaves who are there to serve them.

I'll just say my opinion of them can't get any lower!...

Reluctantly it's hard to disagree based on my experience of Dubai. Millions of people from the asian sub continent working in unbearable heat while a few wealthy Arabs live in air conditioned luxury.

My brother's goes out to Dubai regularly as part of his job. He was telling me that if you have an driving accident in Dubai it is automatically your fault regardless. The assertion being that as a foreigner, if you weren't in the country then the accident would never have happened !
