If you're as bright as you keep on claiming, try discussing rather than proclaiming and insisting you know better than us why we voted. Your 'expertise' implies that you have a narrow view of the issues, you could find learning about other peoples broader views enlightening.

 

Kustard has openly said he doesn't want immigrants living in his town, and he called the entirety of Islam 'pig ****ers'.

Which at best makes him both a xenophobe and Islamophobic. His mindset does unfortunately represent that of a decent percentage of the vote.

Total lack of respect for other peoples opinions and democracy in general.

May has drawn up her 'red lines' off the back of the assumption that immigration was the key driver in the referendum result.

I've never said that all out voters are xenophobes and racists, merely that all the xenophobes and racists voted out.

My own view is that the immigrants have been made the scape goats for the failure of the Govt to tackle the issues of housing poverty, poverty in general and the ever growing disparity between the haves and have nots in our society.

Aided and abetted by the right wing press. 30 years ago it was the Afro Carribeans, then the Indians and Pakistanis and now it's the Poles and Eastern Europeans. They've been scapegoated and a decent chunk of the electorate fell for it.
