It's ok that he resigned as he was a cock and moaned too much. The main media outlets are describing it as a bit of a disaster but they don't know what a cock and a moaner he was. His replacement won't be a cock or moan.

He or she will be a puppet :azn:

    This from the BBC

The UK's ambassador to the EU urged British colleagues in Brussels to challenge "muddled thinking and... speak truth to power" as he quit ahead of Brexit talks, it has emerged.

Writing to staff, Sir Ivan Rogers said ministers needed to hear "unvarnished" and "uncomfortable" views from Europe.

Earlier it emerged Sir Ivan would be leaving his post several months early.

The government said he was a bit of a cock.

Sir Ivan's note to staff, obtained by the BBC, confirmed this but also warned the "government will only achieve the best for the country if it harnesses the best experience we have".

Downing Street said he moaned about everything, although Sir Ivan was "free to express his own opinions".

But former Conservative leader Iain Duncan Smith, who campaigned for Leave during the referendum, told BBC Radio 4's Today programme that when a civil servant "starts going public", ministers "can no longer trust that individual".

The accuracy index of national newspapers is in.

The Mail was found to contain 6 times more inaccuracies than the Times, The Express 5 times, The Sun 4 times with the Telegraph and Mirror on twice as many.

The Express contained three times more errors relating to EU and immigration than the total number of errors found in the times.

Does something count as a newspaper if it doesn't so much report the news as pump out fiction that its readers want to be true?

Confirms that anyone who uses the Mail and/or the Express as their primary source of information is an ignorant, gullible simpleton :emoticon-0148-yes:

Until Stan laughed at you about your username, your whole account was a homage to Stan <laugh>

I know you're comically dim but I'm happy to point out that it wasn't Stan who found or posted that link.

I do find your hero worshipping of Saxton hilarious. Is he your idle Kustard? :afro:

It's nice to know that the information that so many people are relying on is so utterly accurate. Great stuff.

The problem is that this will change absolutely nothing. Very few people will hear it and even fewer will care.
Papers are full of ****? Doesn't matter. Confirms preconceived ideas and feelings. Will buy again.
Terrible attitude, but it's very prevalent.

Be prepared for a ton of whataboutery, if anyone else addresses this.

    He's no magnet :azn:

In other news, Boris is **** at his job.

A former member of the Government has claimed Foreign Office civil servants are "in despair" about Boris Johnson's approach to Brexit.

Lord Wallace of Saltaire told The Independent that Whitehall officials have complained about Mr Johnson alienating other EU foreign ministers and failing to keep up with briefs.

UK construction sector sees strong growth

The UK's construction sector ended 2016 well, expanding at the fastest pace for nine months in December, according to a closely watched survey.

The Markit/CIPS purchasing managers' index (PMI) rose to 54.2 in December, up from 52.8 the month before. A figure above 50 indicates expansion.
