He was never a policy maker anyway. Ok, we got him, but let's face it ISIS wont crumble with his death. The world is a far better place without him, but instead of the raving "stick that up your junta" rhetoric, lets get the main evil bastards now.

Just waiting for the repercussions with the prisoner(s) they still hold.
Don't think there was any other way to take him out so from my point of view, one job done, plenty more to go though.

They got their repercussions in first ........ that's why 'John' was targeted.

    This changes nothing.

    Great news!

However, unfortunately I really don't think this will effect ISIS significantly.

They have probably already passed somebody the knife and told him he is now called "Jihadi Steve"

We are better off with him being vaporised.

If he was ever taken alive think of all the lawyers and do gooders lining up to say he's a good lad really but was led astray. Human rights activists and other lefties would be out supporting him.

Think of all the hostages that would be taken to bargain for his release or exchange.

There would be nothing but trouble if he was taken alive.

Got no complaints with taking him out. Job done. Many more jobs still to do.

He's just 1 amongst thousands though! You're right though Billy, why the **** would it have any strategic effect?

For me this particular hit is just an exercise in propaganda. For the press. Look what we've done.

I'll be more impressed when they start rolling back Isis across every frontline and they kill them in their thousands, until the death cult that they are is totally destroyed.

Oh I'm not sorry he's dead mate but hundreds more will be waiting to sign up.
Years before 9/11 the SAS had Bin Laden in their sights at Tora Bora.
They were told not to slot the **** as the Yanks had to be seen as the ones who took him out.
By the time the glory boys had got there he'd ****ed off.
Still, they got their glory in the end. Wonder what the families of the 3000 dead in New York think about that.

Sleeper cell - I agree this will have been planned for a long time, as will many more across Europe being waiting to happen. My thoughts are that the death of Jihadi John has triggered ISIS to activate this sleeper cell and put the plan into action.

Well, if true he,s not going to do anyone else in, probably be declared a martyr, that!s why to me it would have been preferable to be brought to trial to show him up as an irrational zealot. This form of terrorism has no place in the modern world and while it might not be the safest for our people who have to go get them, we need to show up in the world as following legal/ moral procedure or else we,ll just appear as extreme as them and the cycle will continue forever

Would be good.....but who exactly are 'they'? Is it the leaders in Syrian territory, or Iraq, or even 'arms dealers' or other individuals around the world; someone somewhere is pulling the strings for these evil bastards to be able to operate and they should be located, then dragged out of their swimming pools and put on public trial. Should it be proven that they were complicit, then all their assets seized and their whole families put on the street and the Guantanamo bay facility reopened to accommodate them for the rest of their evil, snivelling lives!
IMO Saudi Arabia has a lot to answer for! They have been exporting this extreme form of Islam for years, I personally think that they are the cause of much of what has gone on and others have then taken up the baton for them. It is after all an Islamic State already, with other religions being banned and women treated like second class citizens.............oh, hang on......they, supposedly, are on our side!

The Saudi's have been playing a long-term for many years now, using their oil money to spread their brand of Islam, Wahhabism. Building their madrassas' across The Middle East, Asia and Europe.

You can understand why the Iranians and Qatari's have had to use their oil monies for the same reason, to defend their version and to avoid being surrounded by their religious enemy.

The west has been so arrogant and naive, thinking we can influence and deflect either side from their game plans. It's only resulted in us being foolishly dragged into their mess.

Agreed. Strange how our Royal Family are so entwined with the Saudis, especially when they are supposed to be a beacon of hope and fairness for all religions in this our multicultural modern society. .........oh yes, money, power, greed and people fawning at their feet.
