Every industrialised country is equally guilty of the murder if you want to put it in those terms, and I hold no brief for China. You’re part of the chorus which chants the refrain “why should we bother, because China”, but contrary to popular belief, China are at least working towards reducing their emissions and increasing renewable energy production.

2023 figures for China’s world share of renewable energy production:
Hydroelectricity 29%
Wind 19%
Solar 35%
Biomass 29%

Overall 32%

China produces about 31% of its energy from renewable sources, which is about par for the world’s output. And their CO2 emissions in 2024 were lower than in 2023, the first time they have ever dropped.

This isn’t to big up China in any way, just to prove that working towards net zero is possible, as well as being essential, and far from futile.

But then you are a climate change denying flat-earther, so it’s probably my effort to educate you which is futile.

No apology necessary by the way.
You're preaching the obvious to the wilfully oblivious as well you know judging by your last sentence.

China make up most of their figures, so you can’t really trust them.

However at last recorded estimate in 2023 they used 4.66 billion tons of coal, an increase of 2.9%.

Any impact the UK has on the world stage means absolutely nothing when compared with that, you’d have to be a complete imbecile to think otherwise.

Your insane climate hysteria is destroying the UK’s economy, so well done.

I’m not a flat earther, just someone that knows more about all of this than you, clearly. But thanks for another petty insult to further prove my point that you can’t win a debate without insults

Regarded as a reliable source, sorry to piss on your fireworks. I’m just off out for an evening’s pearl-clutching, have fun doing your homework.
