It really is a great shame that the environment is something that anyone with children or grandchildren should take seriously, yet some don't wish to put forward their own views about what we should be looking at as possible ways of leaving things better than we have made of it so far.

I think there is no place on this message board for posters whose only interest is to post inflammatory comments.

I'm sure everyone is concerned about the environment and the future for our grandchildren. The worst thing would have been to saddle them with our debts as some recently proposed.

So what constructive proposals do you have SH? Most things that will be of benefit to those who follow us will have some costs associated with them.

The banknotes thing is interesting in terms of carbon footprint. It’s claimed that these new notes have a lower carbon footprint, but surely the decrease in use of physical money offsets far more carbon? And did they take into account the amount of carbon from the animals, which is a massive consideration?

Also what is the recyclability of these new notes? No idea, btw, just wondering - they might be fabulous. <laugh>

If you mean your care-warden, once it has been explained to them that someone has come to see the delusional, paranoid, incontinent fool, whose nickname amongst the staff coincidentally also starts ‘sh’, I’m sure they would let anyone in. But don’t expect a visit any time soon, sh, there’s a dear.
