PC gamer myself. Started with Civilization 1, Railroad tycoon, Simcity etc, so been gaming for a good part of my life (i am 27). Got into FPS and RTS ( with games like Doom, Quake, Duke Nukem, C&C, Red Alert). Currently playing Crysis 2, Civ 5 etc but my game time has been reduced lately as I have been a father for the last 7 months and am currently renovating a house.
I once played MGS (I think) and all I remember was lots and lots of snow. I recently re-watched Transformers 2 in anticipation of the third one, can't wait. My Transformers 1 DVD is too damaged to use, gave it to a friend and it was watched too many times... The thing I enjoy most in those films is the show of military might: strike package alpha, strike package bravo, the aircraft carriers, "Bring the Rain!"
Aye play Fifa, i'll religiously get 12 on release day, i've had a few games with your lot, usually pretty tight ones Like i say, i'll be back on soon as i get TV adaptor sorted, or i may just buy a new tv cos the one here is ****e, my live is paid up until January, it's pissing me off not being able to use it!
I'm intrigued. What was that one about? Edit: if everyone could share their first game and platform... I remember playing The Lion King and Sonic the Hedgehog on my friend's Sega Mega Drive!
Then down to the amusements (yes people even ventured out of the house in them days) to play space invaders, defender and galaxians.. johnnys amusements at seaburn or bellamys at roker...oh choices..
not sure what connections your TV has, but it must have scart and svideo, unless its really old http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/S-Video-O...s_VideoGameAccessories_JN&hash=item4839ed3e7e
Commachio you should try and get Assault on Fire Base Gloria or Fire Base Gloria the titles were different in Cyprus and it's the only place I could get it top film, especially when the new boss calls into question the stagging on abilities of two numpties.
Th Tv was here when i got here, it's got scart but i only have HDMI from home. I can't find one of the cables i need anywhere, you know the 2 sound one av type that you plug into the tv, and into the scart attachement that comes with the 360. Driving me nuts mate.
Pac-man was basically a game where you were either being chased or chasing what I think wer supposed to be ghosts. The Hunchback is a game where you were the Hunchback and you had to get over a series of tasks and obsticles in order to rescue Ezmarelda (the love of your life). If you succeeded then you moved on to the next level where the tasks got progressively harder: simple, but addictive
have you not got a surround sound system? just if you did you could use the scart for the picture (or even the svideo if it has that connection) then connect the 360 up to your surround system with an optical cable. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2M-HD-AV-...Games_Cables_and_Adaptors&hash=item56422d251f there is that but not sure if thats what you need or not. but that will let you hook it up to your PC monitor. (if your monitor hasnt got HDMI or component)
My first ever game was that old tennis game, forgot the name, where there was a stick either side of the screen and a ball (square). the most basic of games ever.
Favourite film of all time The Hurricane starring Denzel Washington, a true story of a black boxer fitted up on a murder charge. The music by Bob Dylan is also mint.
at least I knew Pac-Man. The Hunchback sounds like my favourite movie tie-in game, Disney's Hercules, which I had on the PC. It was fantastic. Edit: on the subject of movie tie-ins, I also once had Beauty and the Beast (I challenge anyone to find a worse game).
