On the plus side at least Capello knows who I am, I was beginning to think i was http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Invisible_Man #lookingatthepositives

    Joey7Barton
Am goin to take the fact he(Fabio C) used the words me and good player in the same sentence, all I want is the opportunity to prove the rest

    Joey7Barton
My goal is to get in that Euro2012 squad and team for the Olympics, all I can do is more of what I did last season, if its enough its enough

To even be mentioned in the reckoning, is a testament to how far i've come since my troubled yrs, looking forward to pushing for a place....

Hope he does at least get in the side for the Olympics, would be great seeing him representing England, maybe even in our own backyard at SJP!

Sorry to bump this up. But here is further evidence of what I originally stated...

He wasn't considered at any point last season when playing every game for Wigan. He then comes back to Man Utd, plays one game and gets in the England squad. Such an unbelievable amount of bias towards Man Utd, it really is unbelievable at times!

To be honest though the game is a farce. Why FIFA have made this window for an international friendly I'll never understand. Capello is unhappy with it, all the managers are, and so are the players! I'd prefer they just spent it training and working on tactics etc because they never get enough time with the players, and players are just gonna go through the motions. They'd have been better getting a massive squad of 30 or 40 and taking the time to treat as an international trial, playing games amongst themselves.

I'm glad Cleverley is in the squad though! I think Barton will be lucky to pull on the shirt. To be honest I have very little sympathy. I'm all for players redeeming themselves but Joey is still a hot head, and because of his previous problems is a massive risk. I also think Capello is suggesting he would consider him if it wasn't for his club problems. I can see all sides of it. Barton may well be agrieved which you can understand, but from a PR and commercial aspect he is a big risk for the FA. To be honest Joey should just count himself pretty lucky to be making a living out of the game at all. Many, myself included, wanted him as far away from the club as possible. I'll hold my hands up and say he has changed but whether that earns him international honours I'm not so sure.

Roll on Euro 2012 when we get rid off this useless arse of a manager. How long has he been in charge still cant speak English. Picks players on who they play for not how they play. If Ben Arfa or Tiote was English they still wouldnt get a look in.

But really this has been going on long before Crapello with the bias. McClaren and Sven were both guilty of it. I did use to have Club and then country now I dont care what happens

Has the Dutch squad been announced yet, hope Krul has a good game, if he plays.

I genuinely have little interest in the england team or how they perfor. Naturally I only have one love.... our beloved Toon.

This. I actually wish none of our players were called up to their national teams...the risk of injury is too great. Stupid decision by FIFA.

Yeah Krul is in it, but so it Stekelenburg. So I assume he won't start, but he may get the second half...you never know!

Vorm's back in as well, he's usually second choice for them.

That's a shame, but I'd rate Krul higher than Vorm and he will become better than Stekelenburg. You never know, because the game is in England maybe Holland will expolit it and give Krul some game time. <ok>

I hope so, Krul has played against Crouch, Rooney and Welbeck before and knows Carroll's game inside out as well.

Exactly and the Holland coach will want to do whatever he can to ensure that Krul starts for us!
