The worst draws would have been Madrid and Barcelona. I didn't fancy PSG either. The best draw apart from Bayern for me would have been the chavs.
Barca - Atletico is the most evenly matched - both sides know each other and have played each other this season. Don't think Barca's CL savvy is what it used to be after the embarrassments of the last couple of seasons. And tbh Barca have a history of underperforming in two legged CL ties - they seem to only really turn it on for individual games. Chelsea - PSG will come down to PSG's superior players against Chelsea's experience and Mourinho's ability to kill off games. If Mourinho can get the tactics right and just focus Chelsea on stifling PSG and getting something on the counter, like RDM did against Barca, then you have a chance. But if PSG get the lead at any point then you are almost certainly ****ed without Drogba to bail you out.
I'd prefer them to either of Real or Barca, as I think our defence will cope better with there style of play than it would do either of the Spanish giants
Stranger things have happened but it will be difficult. Key is not losing at home like Arsenal and City did this year.
Where has this myth come from that PSG are a top side? They got through a ****e group and beat a ****e Leverkusen in the last round. Their league is terrible that's why they walk it. PSG have a lot to prove!
United would have really struggled against Barcelona. Madrid with Ronnie and bale would have been a nightmare. Bayern is a fantastic team but playing with no expectation on them United could give them a good game. Playing at home first is also good IMO. All of this totally different to Redknapp's view that this was the worst draw for United. Not for a team who has to try to build confidence for the future...
Arsenal and City have already been trounced by Bayern this season.. United will have to play out of their skins and hope that Bayern have two off days. Good luck!
Bayern are hot favorites. If United have good performances then that will be good. No real expectation of going through.
Blimey. My initial thought was oh dear, then they're beatable. Then I realised we're now fairly average so it was back to oh dear. You never know though eh?
This. PSG have got some great individual players but havent shown me anything to make me worry all that much, they play in a s**te league. I would say its an even tie, they have better individual players, we have more experience and an awesome manager. Will all depend on if their team clicks in Paris and they get their tactics right.
