I think there were 4 Liverpool players in the starting line up and another 2 on the bench that night, plus Dietmar Hamann playing for Germany. I'd make a joke about hubcaps in Munich but you'd see the punchline from a mile off.
I cut the cable over a decade ago. Which makes it a pain to watch international games. I pay to get a service to be able to watch Premier League games, but international games are different and I have to get creative... As a result, I only typically watch ones which are really important to me. If England makes the semis I'll probably find a way to watch them. I won't even talk about what if England makes the final, because even I have a little bit of realism within me. It would be funny though if England finally wins something when everyone is boycotting the WC.
Just hope trent has another minor injury and doesn't make it tbh. Lads too good for England and soufgate
Not that I ever envision selling Trent, but I view it generally a good thing players being in the WC, raises their value if they ever need to be sold also helps bring new fans to the game and they're more likely to pick the team of players they admire from the tournament. The other useful value is cup experience against the best of the best. It's the middle of the season qualifier crap I hate because it disrupts the season and injures players in the middle of a campaign. They should just set aside 6 weeks in winter and 6 weeks in summer for internationals... Get it all over in one go, rather than stop-starting the season. Let domestic footy have uninterrupted access to the rest of the year.
Some very good and valid points . Dubai is built on virtually slave labour or close to it . Somewhere I have never fancied but that part of the world doesn't anyway . A couple at work have been and said the prices are outrageous is going in August with her daughter . **** knows how she will cope coz when it hits 23c here she jumps into the shade
He's a lucky fcker is Franco. His national side wins a Euros tournament and misses two world cups. How many of us would take that right now?
Looking forward to seeing the Toon English fans on the tele wearing their Arab attire they usually wear when they watch their team at Sheik Jamal Park in celebration of their murderous owners or will they stay at home due to Qatar’s poor human rights record?
I know it might sound a bit twisted but I'm eager to see how many fans do **** over there that will mean them staying there for either a very long time for for all time namean
You cannot blame the normal everyday supporters for who the powers that be choose as owners . Not many things in football wind me up , but this is one of them . No I don’t believe they should be the owners , I don’t believe F1 should have been in Bahrain last week or Saudi Arabia this week or other similar places .
