I said on this forum before, (jokingly) perhaps there should be a divers league, bit like goal of the week, or season. Let's embarrass the divers, it may make them think twice

I watched your game and can honestly say i don't remember it...

 

That'll be a racist gopher leaving one in. Cabaye avoided but quite rightly tried to get him done for it. I'm loving our players new found dark side. No longer will we be the honest chumps on the receiving end. When all the other sides decide to start playing fair, we will. Until then (the day will never come now) get it up them!

 

I'm getting a tad pissed off with Perch being made to be the villain out of this, admittedly his reaction was OTT as was Tiote's against Sunlan.
But there was contact on both occasions and the players decided to emphasis it to show to the ref that there was contact.
The mellow dramatics do look bad and embarrassing by why let the players get away with it?
Pederson did it with Bartons dig, the sunlan defender did it to get the pen. It was a pen his shirt was pulled and I'm not arguing that decision but he did go down pretty easy. Mandy tried to get a pen which would have seen Krul carded.
Had there been no contact then I'd be calling Perch, but there was so can't fault him for reacting. Maybe he should have just stayed on his feet and held his nose.

I seem to remember Gerrard forearm smashing someone in the back of the head and nothing was done.

Unfortunately because the likes of Gerrard and even Rooney have got away with some horrendous attacks on other players, these kind of reactions are the best way to get justice.

 

Perch being made the villain of the piece is part of the reason players still feel justified in their pointless shows of aggression. People telling them it's not fair and the other guy is a disgrace and not them is probably a contributing factor as to why they never ever learn.

Perch did nothing to 'get him sent off', Reina did it all himself. This was reflected in Dogleash's post-match interview and their decision not to appeal.

Also people saying "you don't want to see those theatrics from a 'fellow professional'", STFU, like it's 'professional' to be going round butting heads with other players.

 

Sour grapes and more sour grapes. Every team is at it. As I say when every team wants to start playing by rules and stop the play acting, then I'd like to see our players follow suit. Otherwise though **** being the simple honest team who end up losing because the oppo is willing to bend the rules. I don't like play acting or diving. But if opposing teams want to play that way, you're a fool not to join them.

 

You only have to look at Carroll being prepared to dive against his "Beloved Boyhood Club that he loves" and Suarez diving and cheating if he's not suspended for being a racist beaver.

They wouldn't be bitiching if Carroll had got the pen and Krul had walked.

 

I don't like it but whether we like it or not, its part of the game. We're not talking about one player or one team here. We're talking every single team in the league and a high percentage of the players. I'm not interested in being the good guys, I'm interested in being the team who wins. I'd rather win without cheating but its just not very likely in the modern game. The refs get conned all the time. I'm not blaming them as its not easy.

Its what makes me laugh with a lot of the mackems still bitching about Tiote. They just don't see the irony. I've seen Seb Larrsson feign injury and they'll have a good few others too. Everyone is at it and its a case of who's best at it. Tiote did Sessegnon up like kipper

 

What about Myler at Stoke, think it was Huth went flying in but pulled his legs back cause he realised he had missed timed it. Myler dived in the air and did a couple of rolls across the ground, he wasn't injured and very little if any at all was made but Huth got a straight red for it.

I'm with you I don't like it but it's either all or none change their ways, retrospective bans are one thing but once the game is over you can't change the result especially if a player shouldn't have been on the pitch.
Saying that even with Reina on the pitch they couldn't change the result

 

What really annoyed me was we didn't get a penalty when Reina did his thing or was the whistle gone?

 

I think the whistle had gone but that really would have been the cherry on top. You'd have to let Williamson or Krul take it, the ultimate humiliation for Jose.

 

Because Perch tripped him 1st, therefore it's a Liverpool free kick.

 

Surely Perchinho after his blinder deserved to be able to score his first goal for us.
