We don't have to buy a new goalkeeper and I don't think we need a new CB (although I am in a minority in this) but I would agree with you about the other positions. That isn't the argument though, I was saying how we should be worried by man utd.
I agree that Utd will be team to beat next season, they have made some good signings so far and IF they get a good CM then they will have a very good squad. I don't think they are unbeatable and hope it all goes wrong for them I would rather any other team win the league.

Lets put it another.In the second half of the season Man United finished 4th in points accumulation.Chelsea,Liverpool and Arsenal in that order picked up more points.So in that respect Man United were not the most outstanding team. Did they play the best football in the league,again the answer is no,that award goes to Arsenal.If I were a neutral,I would watch Arsenal every week.They need to grow a pair.And thats the reason why they didn't win anything and won't win anything until they do so.
Well thanks for saying that and I would pick liverpool to win the league over any of the other potential challengers (apart from us obviously) but that doesn't mean man u are rubbish.
To all the helpful fans of other clubs who like to point out the size of the task ahead of us- thank you, we'd never have guessed. On topic- I have only a passing interest in who other clubs sign. To say Utd ( and others) are dangerous is blindingly obvious. My concern is who we buy to help us mount a serious challenge to them. I don't expect it to be done in public so who knows what's going on behind the scenes? I hope it isn't done in haste. As has been pointed out, the international window hasn't even opened yet. I think we need to reserve judgement for a while yet.

They aren't rubbish,but they aren't as good as some people would make you believe,and their humiliation by Barcelona proved that.The thing is,if you swarm around their central midfield and bully and harass them,they are useless.Not every team in Europe plays like Schalke.Arsenal did it,and won,Chelsea did it and won,Liverpool beat them to a pulp at Anfield.Man United until they sign that much needed midfielder will continue to submit to teams that swarm around their midfield and bully them.They can't handle it. Liverpool have flaws too,and this is being honest,they've got Man Uniteds mental toughness,but they don't have the flair,however that flair can be signed,the mental toughness is something that has been drilled into them.

They really did not, they exposed our only weakness, lack of pace, and played a high defensive line meaning we couldn't get anywhere near the goal. They went into our box about two times over the two legs.
