Fair play to MON as it worked but who in their right mind would have said.

Gardner RB
Killgallon CB

Elmo coming on as a sub

would beat Man City

If Bruce had done that, he would have got lambasted (i know with injuries we dont have much else, but just saying if it was Bruce he would have got lambasted on here) as its MON he is somekind of god.

I have nothing against MON, I think he will be great for us, but putting Bruce down even more just pisses me off a bit lol hes gone, not everything was his fault but he has gone so meh.

Bruce played players out of position even when there was no need to!
Bruce played a team with no forwards against a lower division club, when he didn't need to.
Bruce made substitutions that would baffle anyone who had watched football at any level!
Bruce had the tactical nous of a lessor spotted sea slug!
Bruce couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery!
The only reason Bruce would have got lambasted would have been over his **** tactics not injuries!
The above are facts!

MON has previous of playing Gardner at right back at Villa. <ok>
I thought Kilgallon was a CB?

Just knowing Bruce is no longer involved with my club makes me smile.
If some people had their way, he would still be here dragging us down.

Sits here, slurping tea, nodding in total agreement..

Totally agree Steve - Bruce would have got Lambasted - but, on the other hand, O'neill has got the best out of the players and, had bruce made those substitutions, the chances are the players would have come on and did what they did for Bruce - Nothing!!

Wasnt it Bruce that was at the helm when we beat Man City 1-0 in the 90th minute last season 29th August 2010 with a Bent Pen.

Seem to remember Johnson scoring a 96th minute equaliser into top corner of our net, you one of those that leaves early?

I have to guess that theshieldsman is responding to Steve
That wasn't last season theshieldsman - Bent scored with a penalty at a similar time to Sunday's goal and we won that game as well...

Bruce obviously has an eye for a good player but did not have the nous to use their skills properly. MON has those same players playing with passion but in a controlled way, working for each other to a defined plan, and he can change tactics positively as the game proceeds.

Bruce created a set of talented individuals, MON has made them a TEAM. That is the difference for me.

honestly i dont really give a crap anymore, hes gone, but the fact that Bruce got us 6th/7th on 5th Jan 2011, and the SOL was a fortress in 2010, that had nowt to do with Bruce then, actually to you it didnt, did it.

OK it went tits up in 2011 but people have bloody short memories.
