Did you read this somewhere, Duncan? Or are you putting two and two together and wondering if these 'personal reasons' are a cover for what's really going on? It would be a rather clever cover. If they said Cantwell wasn't playing because of an unspecified 'injury', we'd all feel free to add our two-pennies-worth (that phrase dates me!) and there'd probably be a frenzy of speculation. 'Personal reasons' makes it very hard for anyone to conjecture without seeming callous.
Coincidentally a few stories came out about Cantwell being watched by Arsenal and Liverpool after I posted that . https://www.justarsenal.com/arsenal-targeting-another-english-premier-league-star/293100 Free transfer my arse https://www.liverpool.com/liverpool-fc-news/features/liverpool-free-transfer-andy-robertson-21826903
Pukki has scored two goals for Finland away to Kazakhstan today 12th Oct. There is about 10 mins to play. Seems to be scoring well for Finland……
He's been on the brink of getting the record since before the Euros hopefully that will give him a boost . Legend
And you're right - the Kazakh defending and goalkeeping was pure Borat. But they all count and let's hope that, buoyed by this, Pukki baby can put Brighton to the sword at the weekend.
Former Canary, Martin Olsson, came on at the end for Sweden's 2-0 victory over Greece. Thirty-three years old and over 50 caps for Sweden.
Teemu's goals today: https://www.soccerhighlights.net/2021/10/kazakhstan-vs-finland-world-cup-qualifiers-highlights.html
Teemu had a penalty saved in the bottom right corner but Brentford's Forss has scored later after an assist from Teemu. Finland have had a player sent off though near the end of the first half. O-1 to Finland at HT. 0-2 now. Finished 1-3 and Finland are through to the play-offs.
