That was one of the most high-temperature derbies I've seen in a long time, and I loved every fooking minute of it.

They weren't players on the pitch today. They were warriors on a battlefield vying for blood. Even the managers had a pop. Tons of yellows, two reds, two penalties, normally I'm against foul play of any kind but it simply added more fuel to the fire. Bloody mint!

And for the record, I took the piss out of mackems last season when you guys celebrated your injury-time equaliser like they won the cup, but having been on the reverse end of it this time round, I can understand why. The sheer relief was euphoric.

Good game all round chaps.

Loved every minute of it? Your arses were puckering for most of it.

Well done to the cheating twat of a ref for rescuing you a point..How on earth can any of you come up with a defence as to how Tiote didn't get sent off today? And all them not existent free kicks he give you towards the end of the game: shocking!

Mackems were soo lucky today.
We hit the bar, missed a pen and had a well dodgy ref who gave them a free penalty.
A true reflection would have been 2-1 or 3-1 to us.

You missed out a few important facts. Before the sending off Sunderland were the far better team (confirmed by Wor Kev & Chrissie Waddle on TV) Talking about missed chances what about Mcleans missed sitter which would have made it 2-0 and possibly won the game for Sunderland. Newcastle only became dominant when SAFC went down to 10 men.

Cattermole should have been off inside a minute, even the commentators pointed out, had that been say 20-30 minutes into the game, it would have been a red.

But never mind, we never got 2 reds, one involving hitting a player... <doh>

It also shows that he is having a dig at Sess from behind, and not falling over and rolling about until 5 seconds after Sess tiddled him...

Being a modern footballer what did you expect him to do? Admittedly it is rather embarrassing, but sadly, that's part of the modern game and your player was in the wrong.

The thing is, Tiote really didn't have a choice but to do that, because he HAS to make sure that the ref sees it. A hit is a hit, but if Tiote had avoided reacting and the ref missed it as a result, then it would be incredibly unfair.

Sunderland fans should be less focussed on Tiote than what an idiot Sessegnon is, clear red card, anyone that argues against it is quite simply biased or blind.
